Century City’s Chamber of Commerce will honor global investment bank Holihan Lokey and Nadine Watt of the Watt Companies as its Citizens of the Year at a ceremony on June 8.

The Century City Chamber of Commerce has officially announced its honorees for the Citizen of the Year.

Houlihan Lokey, a premier global investment bank, will receive the corporate award, while Nadine Watt, president of the renowned real estate firm Watt Companies, will receive the individual award.

The Chamber has held this annual event for 35 years, honoring those that exemplify excellence in corporate and community relations.

The 2017 Corporate Citizen of the Year, Houlihan Lokey, was founded in 1972 and has since grown to be a global investment bank with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, financial restructuring, valuation, and strategic consulting.

Nadine Watt, the 2017 Individual Citizen of the Year, oversees all commercial investment activities including acquisitions, development, and asset management for Watt Company’s 6 million square-foot portfolio of multifamily, industrial, office, and retail properties.

Throughout her 17-year tenure at Watt Companies, Nadine has played significant roles in nearly all facets of the company’s operations. She has developed hundreds of apartment units and multiple shopping centers. Nadine was also responsible for a multi-million dollar renovation program at Watt Plaza, a 920,000 square foot, Class-A office building in Century City, that was instrumental in securing the building’s Platinum LEED certification in 2013 and a TOBY award in 2011. She also oversees Watt Companies’ oil and gas operations.

Watt is the first female Chair for the Los Angeles Business Council and also serves on the executive committee for the Los Angeles Real Estate and Construction Council for the City of Hope.

“We are thrilled to name Houlihan Lokey and Nadine Watt as our Corporate and Individual Citizen of the Year,” said Nancy Wood, president and CEO of the Century City Chamber of Commerce. “Both are dedicated to the needs of their clients and care deeply about the community, making them very deserving of the award.”

The awards ceremony will be held on June 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Beverly Hilton. For more information about the awards, or to purchase tickets, call the Chamber at 310.553.2222, email contact@centurycitycc.com, or visit centurycitycc.com.
