Century City is known for its masses of business professionals, but this summer, an overlooked necessity will be joining the office-heavy neighborhood.

Upon recognizing the need to assist working parents in and around Century City, a partnership between VINCI Education and Mass Equity will be promoting improved work-life balances through a full-service daycare and Pre-K facility set to debut this summer as VINCI Academy.

Although VINCI Academy will be the first U.S.-based facility of its kind, the blended learning style of the daycare and Pre-K programs is utilized expansively around the world.

As an award-winning company in the realm of pedagogy, VINCI Education currently operates several schools in China and Canada educating more than 50,000 children annually. The ultimate goal of VINCI is to lead the child to both academic and social success and maximize their growth potential by encouraging self-discovery and hands-on learning in a safe environment.

“VINCI Academy will be using a blended learning model, which incorporates one-on-one, personalized learning with technology,” said Matt Massman, co-founder and CEO of VINCI Academy. “We’ll be using Montessori materials and the Reggio Emilia teaching platform.”

The daycare and Pre-K program will accommodate approximately 160 students from 18 months to five-years-old. There will be more than 10,000 square feet of learning space and an additional 3,500 square feet of play space for students.

In addition, the facility will offer an in-home infant care program in which trained, certified, background checked, and insured caregivers will work with infant children ages 3-18 months.

“The in-home care program, which actually started a couple of months ago, is already receiving rave reviews,” Massman said.

This program brings experts and caregivers in early childhood development to the comfort of the working parent’s home as they help the infants improve motor schools and achieve other crucial milestones.

Daily activities like mealtime, naptime, and play time will be enhanced through individualized attention.

For the in-center programs, children will be grouped by ages from Infant Care (3-18 months), Toddler Program (18-30 months), Junior Pre-K (2.5-3.5 years), and Pre-K (3.5-5 years).

The toddler program will draw on the natural curiosity of the age group by utilizing activities that hone in on the senses.

With the mission to focus on stimulating the toddlers’ senses of vision, hearing, and touch, VINCI Academy’s toddler program will include activities that involve music, language, art, and early elements of math and science.

The Junior Pre-K and Pre-K program will aim to further encourage the child’s natural curiosity and lead them to pursue self-initiated inquiry.

By introducing basic concepts in a variety of subject matters – including math, science, language, writing, and even cultural studies – the children will be exposed to a myriad of knowledge in hopes of promoting individual experimentation, investigation, and expression. The Pre-K students will also be introduced to positive life skills, including healthy lifestyle choices and social skills.

With the goal of bringing a comprehensive early childhood education to the neighborhood, VINCI Academy will be alleviating the chaos, helping working families maintain a better work life balance that often accompanies the busy Century City lifestyle. As an educational institution that will serve its students from 7 am to 7 pm, VINCI Academy keeps in mind the typical office hours of the working parent and strives to coordinate to their schedule.

As for the CEO and co-founder of VINCI Academy, Massman is familiar with both the daily motions of Century City as well as the most optimal educational models for early childhood.

“I grew up in the area but have been helping to build charter schools for the past seven years,” Massman said. “I’ve been fortunate enough to see many types of educational models, and the demand is high for a school that tailors to working parents. I’ve observed that this daycare/Pre-K institution is an extremely needed service here in Century City. We’re already filling up fast.”

VINCI Academy will be located at 1940 Century Park East, Suite 300. For more information, call 310.660.7422 or visit vinciacademy.com.
