It took 52 Los Angeles firefighters 25 minutes to extinguish a fire Saturday May 6, in a postal annex undergoing exterior renovation at the Federal Building in Westwood, authorities said.
The incident was reported at about 6:15 p.m. in a one-story building at 11000 Wilshire Boulevard, according to Los Angeles Fire Department’s Brian Humphrey.
“The annex housed several businesses including a post office,” Humphrey said. The fire was near post boxes in the 225-sq. ft. annex.
No one was injured in the blaze and none of the nearby buildings, including a credit union and a cafeteria, were damaged by the fire.
