A 31-year-old man driving a pickup truck was killed in a rollover crash in Lake Los Angeles near Palmdale, the California Highway Patrol said Sunday.
It happened at about 3 p.m. Saturday at 162nd Street East and East Avenue O, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Alex Rubio.
The white 1999 Ford F-150 was going westbound on Avenue O when it left the roadway and went into the northern dirt shoulder, the CHP reported.
The truck rolled over, and the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected.
Arriving paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. A resident of Los Angeles, his name will be released pending notification of next of kin, according to the coroner’s office.
Alcohol or drugs were not suspected to be contributing factors in the crash.
