A stretch of eastbound Century Boulevard near Los Angeles International Airport will be closed again tonight, potentially causing headaches for people trying to reach or leave the airport.
Eastbound Century will be closed at 11 p.m. between Aviation Boulevard and Bellanca Avenue as Metropolitan Transportation Authority crews remove falsework from the newly constructed light-rail bridge over the roadway. The eastbound lanes, along with the left-most westbound lane, will be closed until 6 a.m. Tuesday.
The closure will be repeated for several nights this week, with the work then expected to shift to the westbound lanes.
The eastbound closures will be repeated Aug. 22-27.
Detour signs will be posted in the area.
