The 22nd tallest building in Los Angeles is also one of Los Angeles’ most expensive condominiums. The 42-story luxury tower, the Century, sold a $22.5 million penthouse condo last month, making it one of the priciest deals historically for the Westside community, reports the LA Times.
Ever since socialite and philanthropist Candy Spelling dropped $35 million in 2010 for the top two floors, the Century at 1 Century Drive has been catering to celebrities and international buyers with its high-rise living appeal. The Century sits on nearly four acres of landscaped garden and was built on the former St. Regis Hotel. It boasts a 16-seat screening room, a Pilates studio, a 75-foot lap pool, outdoor kitchens and dining rooms for entertaining, and Culinary Lab’s Hinoki and the Bird, which offers in-home dining services to Century residents.
Mary Ann Osborn of Related Sales Inc. was the listing agent for the October sale. Linda May of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage represented the buyer.
