Cricket will be played at Dodger Stadium tonight for the first time in the stadium’s 54-year history, matching all-star teams of retired players.
Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar and Australian bowler Shane Warne will captain “Sachin’s Blasters” and “Wayne’s Warriors,” consisting of players from eight nations.
The match is the final of the three-match “Cricket All-Stars” tour, which began Nov. 7 at New York’s Citi Field and continued Wednesday at Houston’s Minute Maid Park.
The match will be played under the shortened T20 format and is expected to last three hours.
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game similar to baseball, with a bowler delivering a ball to a batsman, who attempts to hit it with a flat bat.
