Police today were searching the campus of Beverly Hills High School, which was evacuated after a telephoned bomb threat was received.
The incident began about 12:30 p.m. at the campus at 241 Moreno Drive, said Beverly Hills police Sgt. Max Subin.
Students were evacuated to an athletic field, and residents were advised to avoid the area near the campus, Subin said. The search was continuing an hour afterward, he said.
Today’s bomb threat comes just two weeks after classes were canceled for the day on Jan. 5 at BHHS after a bomb threat was called in at 11 am on that day. Authorities did not find any suspicious items on that day.
