Utility crews are working today to repair three water main leaks that occurred at various locations throughout Los Angeles and left close to 100 customers without water.
The first leak occurred at 11:40 pm Friday in the area of Chalmers Drive and Bedford Street, on the outskirts of Beverly Hills, where a 6-inch pipe was shut down to allow for repairs and left about 30 to 40 customers without water service, said Albert Rodriguez of the Department of Water and Power.
Rodriguez said crews were still at the scene making repairs and it was not immediately known when service would be restored.
A 6-inch cast iron pipe was shut off at 1:45 am in the area of Wilshire and Plymouth boulevards where 20 customers are without water service, he said. Crews were still at the scene making repairs and it was not immediately known when service would be restored.
A third leak was reported at 1:30 am in the 1700 block of South Longwood Avenue, where 20 customers were without water service, Rodriguez said. Crews were still at the scene making repairs and it was not immediately known when service would be restored.
