Former Saturday Night Live cast member and actor Tracy Morgan was critically injured when a limo bus he was in was involved in a six-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike, according to multiple reports on June 7.
According to New Jersey police, the limo bus was overturned near Robbinsville, N.J.
Police officials reportedly added alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the pile-up.
Two tractor-trailers were reportedly part of the crash.
One person was reportedly killed in the crash, and another seven were injured.
The one fatality, 63-year-old James McNair, was reportedly on the limo bus.
The collision occurred after Morgan reportedly performed at a hotel-casino in Dover, Del. According to news reports, a tractor-trailer came up on traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike but did not stop or slow down in time.
Multiple reports stated the New Jersey Turnpike was shut down for hours after the collision.
It was unclear where Morgan, a Brooklyn native, was headed after the collision occurred, though Morgan does live in Mercer County, N.J. Coincidentally, Robbinsville is in Mercer County.
Morgan, 45, was confirmed as being in intensive care at a hospital in New Brunswick, N.J., according to reports. His show schedule for June 7 in Charlotte, N. Car., has reportedly been cancelled.
The actor was most recently a regular on the NBC series 30 Rock and served as a voice in Rio 2. He is also starring in two films scheduled to release later this year, including Nailed and The Boxtrolls. Yet his claim to fame was Saturday Night Love, where he was a cast member from 1996 to 2006.
