A traffic collision involving a school bus on San Vicente Boulevard in Brentwood resulted in two reportedly suffering minor injuries, according to the authorities.
The Los Angeles Fire Dept. and California Highway Patrol reported a school bus was involved in a collision with two other vehicles on April 10 at 7:35 a.m. Based upon a live news feed on television provided by KTLA 5, a pickup truck appeared to be touching the side of the bus on its left side. There was also a SUV behind the bus, also toward the driver’s side.
It was not reported which school the bus was headed toward, though Brentwood Magnet and Paul Revere Charter Middle Schools are both in the immediate vicinity of where the traffic collision occurred.
Officials did not release the identities of the students.
However, Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Dept. reported the injured parties were transported to a nearby hospital in fair condition.
Initial reports by the CHP indicated there were about a dozen students aboard the school bus at the time of the collision.
However, the CHP later confirmed there were 36 students aboard the bus. The CHP added it was unclear where the bus was headed and an investigation is in progress.
The traffic collision occurred on the 12800 block of San Vicente Boulevard near South Bristol Avenue and near the Brentwood Country Club.
