Los Angeles Police Dept. (LAPD) Robbery Homicide Division detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify a bank robbery suspect caught on surveillance video. The suspect has been linked to five additional bank robberies and is considered armed and dangerous.
On Jan. 28, around 5:10 p.m., the suspect entered a bank located in the 100 block of North La Cienega Boulevard in the West Los Angeles area. The suspect approached a teller and presented a hand written demand note. The suspect then pointed a handgun at the teller and demanded money. The suspect exited the bank with the money and left the location in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a female Black, between 35 to 40-years-old, stands between 5 feet 2 inches tall or 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs around 120 to 140 pounds. In a photo posted on the LAPD website, the suspect was wearing a long wig and sunglasses. Surveillance footage of the robbery is available at www.lapdonline.org.
