It was not such a Super Sunday for a convalescent home in Palms, as a sedan reportedly backed through a wall and window of the care facility on Overland Avenue near Palms Boulevard.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Dept., the sedan was fully embedded into one room of a convalescent home at 3515 Overland. It ended up over a portion of a bed.
At least two people were injured, including the driver of the vehicle and an elderly resident of the convalescent home, according to the LAFD blog post. No fatalities were reported.
LAFD’s Heavy Rescue team is expected to remove the vehicle from the building.
