Jake Feldmann, a Broadway Gymnastic School level 10 gymnast, participated in the USA Selection Trials for the 2013 Maccabiah Games on December 2, 2012, in Norman Oklahoma and won a spot on the USA Junior Men’s Team that will represent the United States at the July 2013 Maccabiah Games in Israel for which 100+ countries will field teams.
The Maccabiah Games is the 3rd largest international competition after the Olympics and PanAm Games making Feldmann’s accomplishments quite an honor. Along with Feldmann’s All-around placement, he also ranked 2nd on Vault, 4th on Rings, and 5th on Floor Exercise.
Throughout the 2012 competitive season, Feldmann competed at the highest level (level 10) in USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic program qualifying for the State, Regional and National Championship competitions. To advance to the Junior Olympic National Championships, gymnasts must compete in state and regional championships and qualify based on the highest all-around or multiple-event scores amongst the region.
Feldmann, an 11th grader at Pali High School, is now training with coach Wade Petersen at Broadway Gymnastic School to prepare for Team USA in Israel.
