The founders of 4Good, Erika and Peter Athanas, an LA based non-profit working to inspire families to volunteer, along with their children Izak and Eli have been selected as Scholastic Parent and Child Magazine’s Family of the Year.
Scholastic’s Parent & Child® Magazine’s contest sought to identify families who are making a difference in their neighborhoods, schools, or communities across the USA.
“We were elated to learn that we were chosen Family of the Year as we know this will help our 4GOOD, our foundation, grow. For that we are eternally grateful to Scholastic and the ‘got milk?’ campaign,†said Erika Athanas. “We started 4GOOD as a way to teach our children to be compassionate citizens. We have a lot of fun as a family when we volunteer together with other 4GOOD families.â€
