Structure Fire Response – original address 3214 SM Blvd., later determined to be 1507 Stanford – 0426 hours, with: E3, E4, E1, HM4, T1, RU1 and B1; multiple calls and multiple locations of yet to be investigated sets.
Fire located at Stanford address; small exterior fire extinguished by E-1in a boarded up condo complex under construction – a previously set location. The rest of the original structure assignment released to another fire at 1707 Franklin; fire set in trash cans that extends to garage siding; LAFD Engine 19 already on scene w/ fire extinguished. LAFD called in to assist / mutual aid based on the number of calls and potential fire locations. All SMFD units released, other than -1 at the Stanford location, awaiting Investigators Radomski and Puklus.
All three fires appear to be related, with combined arson investigation coordinated between SMFD, SMPD and LAFD Arson Investigators. Three confirmed fire locations: 1507 Stanford, 1532 Centinela and 1707 Franklin. The fire incidents resulted in LAFD Battalion18 and SMFD Battalion 1 (Chief Carl Bjerke) coordinate resources.
