Santa Monica Yuppie Boondoggle/Yes On T!
The entire Santa Monica city planning team should immediately be sent out to do real jobs like tree trimming. This would lessen the amount of time they have on their hands. Because they do have way too much time on their hands, thinking up yuppie nightmare boondoggles like the, “streetscape,” designs for Ocean Park Blvd and 20th Street.
The city doesn’t have to get my permission to plant trees — plant all you want — but the city will never get my permission to put in, “traffic calming devices,” (read, “driver enraging devices,”) and worst idea of all, reduce the number of lanes!
Reduce the number of lanes? Hello! Can you spell g-r-i-d-l-o-c-k?
What happened to green projects? How is wasting gas and flooding our neighborhoods with exhaust from idling cars a green project? No wonder the city is so addicted to developer tax money and fees with yuppie boondoggles/waste of millions in tax money like this, “streetscape,” plan. This is why I support Proposition T! Have you seen the, “enhancements,” on Pico? Nightmare shovel-head lights? Nightmare!
