Named after the famous Coral trees lining San Vicente Boulevard, Coral Tree Café (located at 11645 San Vicente) is a Brentwood favorite.
The Café works hard to give back to its Brentwood “roots†and support its moniker. Coral Tree raised $2,000 to buy two Coral trees to be planted on San Vicente, and participates in community events and charities, from Kickin’ Cancer to local school fundraisers.
The restaurant was recently granted its Green Certification, which will increase the sustainability of the café and the community. Coral Tree’s green message is also exhibited throughout its menu, with organic produce from local farmers, and many vegan and vegetarian options.
We were lucky enough to try items from both the breakfast and lunch menus. For breakfast, our favorite was the eggs benedict with turkey sausage, and served with café potatoes. Breakfast was completed with Coral Tree’s signature Café Latte, featuring unique latte art.
For lunch, we sampled a variety of menu options – all of which were delicious signature items. Coral Tree’s kale salad, a vegetarian option, was fresh and light with its lemon vinaigrette dressing. The grilled chicken panini, which includes sun-dried tomatoes and avocado, was savory. The baked macaroni and cheese, delectable, filling and scrumptious, completed the meal on a high note.
Coral Tree Café’s earthy interior complements its lovely outdoor patio, and gives customers an earthy atmosphere. The restaurant has spent over 10 years at its Brentwood location – a testament to its success as a Brentwood community favorite.
