Vista Del Mar Names Lyn Konheim and Richard Wolf as Co-Chairs of Agency’s Board of Directors

Lyn KonheimBoth Konheim and Wolf have been actively involved with Vista Del Mar for many years. For his part, Konheim essentially grew up with Vista, as his father—George Konheim—served as the agency’s board chairman for more than 25 years, starting in 1968. Lyn Konheim was appointed to Vista’s board in 1998 and has since served in numerous capacities, including board vice-chair, assistant treasurer, and Executive Committee member. Additionally, Konheim was past chair of the agency’s Building Committee, which continues today overseeing construction of the Azus Educational Services Center on Vista’s 18-acre, West Los Angeles campus.

A resident of Beverly Hills, Konheim has been a real-estate developer and investor for some 35 years and currently is president and owner of Buckeye Properties. Prior to founding Buckeye, he attended the University of SouRick Wolfthern California, served in the U.S. Navy and was a principal in many notable real estate projects in Beverly Hills, the West side and in Malibu.

“…we’re determined to do everything we can to insure that Vista continues to have the resources it needs to keep its outstanding umbrella of services intact. For more than a century, Vista Del Mar has been a beacon of light, offering hope to thousands of children, adolescents, and families in need. We plan to make sure that Vista is there for generations to come,” Konheim said.

Richard Wolf’s has supported Vista Del Mar for more than 20 years. Not only has the West Los Angeles resident been a longtime board member, but Wolf also has served as Vista’s vice president of finance and its treasurer. He has also served on numerous committees, including the agency’s executive committee, as well as those focused on compensation, government relations, finance/audit, investment, and strategic planning.

Wolf has spent more than 35 years with Deloitte, where he is a tax partner, private client advisory tax practice, Pacific Southwest, and specializes in closely held corporations, high-net-worth individuals, and entertainment. Wolf is an alumnus of Northeastern University, University of Southern California, and Woodbury University.

“Vista faces a tough road ahead in light of federal and state budget cuts, but we are committed to maintaining the standard of excellence that this organization has set. Having seen firsthand the positive impact that Vista has had on so many kids. I thank you so much for giving us the chance to give something back to Vista,” said Wolf.

The co-chairs, who are replacing outgoing Board Chair Carol Katzman, will serve a term of two years. Vista Del Mar’s President and CEO Elias Lefferman, Ph.D., is looking forward to a continued working relationship with both Konheim and Wolf. “Lyn and Rick have both been tireless supporters of Vista for many years now, and we could not ask for a more dedicated, talented duo to help guide us through today’s challenging economic times.”

About Vista Del Mar:
Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services was established in 1908 and, over the course of more than a century, has evolved from an orphanage to a union of five specialized agencies working together to provide comprehensive, therapeutic, as well as educational programs and services for children and their families on a picturesque, 18-acre campus in West Los Angeles. These agencies include: Vista Del Mar; Julia Ann Singer Center; Reiss Davis Child Study Center; Home-SAFE (located in Hollywood); and Family Service of Santa Monica (located in Santa Monica). Between the nonprofit’s residential, outpatient, community-based, and education services, Vista Del Mar provides 45 programs to nearly 6,000 children and families annually.
