2-Year-Old Child Lancaster Identified as Victim in Tragic Accident
A toddler died Saturday after being struck by a relative who was driving an RV at Dockweiler State Beach campground, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department.
The collision was reported at 5:47 p.m. in an RV park adjacent to the 12200 block of Vista Del Mar.
The Los Angeles Police Department stated that a woman was moving the vehicle when she heard a noise and realized she had struck the child. On Sunday, the Los Angeles Medical Examiner identified the victim as 2-year-old Merida Castillo of Lancaster.
Police confirmed that the woman and the child were related but did not provide further details on their relationship, and there is no other information that has been released regarding the tragedy.
