Hillary Clinton to conduct fundraisers in L.A.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is scheduled Sunday to conduct what her campaign described as three intimate Los Angeles-area fundraisers, hours after being interviewed on “Meet the Press” in Washington.

The first of what are billed as “Conversations with Hillary Rodham Clinton” will be an early afternoon event at the home of Rob Friedman, a co- president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, and his wife Shari. Tickets are priced at $1,000 per person.

Clinton will pose for pictures with donors giving $2,700, the maximum individual contribution under federal law for a candidate seeking his or her party’s presidential nomination.

A “host reception” will be held for individuals raising at least $27,000, according to an invitation obtained by City News Service.

The second fundraiser will be in the early evening at Perch Los Angeles, a 15th-floor downtown restaurant and bar.

Tickets are $2,700 per person, which includes a photo with Clinton. A host reception will be held for individuals raising at least $27,000.

The final fundraiser will be at the home of Dr. Asif Mahmood and his wife Noshaba in the tiny upscale San Gabriel Valley city of Bradbury. Tickets are $2,700 per person, which includes a photo with Clinton. A host reception will be held for individuals raising at least $27,000.

The trip to Southern California will be the fourth for the 67-year-old Clinton since she declared her candidacy for the Democratic presidential nomination on April 12.

Clinton conducted eight fundraisers and participated in a roundtable discussion with a group of home care providers during her previous visits to the region.

In her fundraisers, Clinton discussed her commitment to being a champion for everyday Americans and outlined the “four fights” that are the focus of her campaign — building an economy of tomorrow; strengthening America’s families; defending America and its core values; and revitalizing democracy, according to a campaign aide who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The fundraisers were closed to the news media, as are most campaign fundraisers.

“Meet the Press” moderator Chuck Todd will conduct a “wide-ranging” one-on-one interview with Clinton at NBC News’ Washington studios, questioning her about her presidential campaign, foreign policy, her use of a private email account and server while in government and more, a network official said.
