President Barack Obama will speak at an event at Cross Campus in Santa Monica on Thursday where he will discuss economic growth, according to a statement from the White House.
According to a statement, Obama is scheduled to land at Los Angeles International Airport at 2 pm Thursday.
Exact details of his itinerary have not been released, except for the White House saying Obama will visit the shared office complex at 929 Colorado Ave. in Santa Monica, “to continue the discussion about the progress our economy is making and his plans to keep expanding opportunity for all Americans.”
The White House says Obama will then attend a political fundraiser at the home of actress Gwyneth Paltrow where tickets are expected to cost up to $32,400.
Obama is also scheduled to remain overnight, but additional details of his visit and departure have not yet been released.
The United States Secret Service generally releases road closure areas to avoid the day before the President’s arrival into a City.
The trip will be Obama’s 20th to Los Angeles or Orange counties since taking office in 2009. All but three of his trips have included political fundraisers.
