Cedric ‘The Entertainer’ and Wilmer Valderrama Unveil 2024 Golden Globe Nominees

Hollywood Foreign Press Association Reveals Nominations for Prestigious Awards

This morning, Cedric “The Entertainer” and Wilmer Valderrama announced the 2024 nominees for the Golden Globe Awards on behalf of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) after Golden Globes president Helen Hoehne opened the ceremony. The Golden Globe Awards will air on CBS on January 7, 2024, and be available to watch on the Paramount+ app after the live broadcast. 

The Golden Globe Awards differ from the Academy Awards differ from the Academy Awards as members of the press vote for the winners, both film and television shows are honored as potential nominees and winners, and films are separated into comedy/musical and drama categories. Each category has six nominees rather than the five nominees in each category in previous years. 

Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” led with the largest number of nominations, with Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” taking second place. Two new categories have been added for this year, Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, which means that Taylor Swift’s independent film “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” was eligible for a Globe this year and a category for Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy or Television.
