Firefighters Tuesday put out a fire at a vacant single-story commercial building in East Hollywood, where they also had to rescue a person from the burning building.
The condition of that person was not immediately known, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters dispatched at 11:17 a.m. to the 300 block of North Vermont Avenue had the fire out within 24 minutes of their arrival, Humphrey said.
