StandWithUs, an international Israel education organization, held its annual “Salute to Israel” Walk in conjunction with the “Celebrate Israel Festival” honoring Israel’s 69th birthday at Rancho Park on May 7.
Hundreds of Jews and Christians, students and community members, sang, danced, waved Israeli flags and held signs showing their support for Israel as they marched to the Museum of Tolerance on Roxbury Drive.
Once there, they formed circles and danced and sang to traditional Israeli songs including the national anthem “Hatikvah” (The Hope).
StandWithUs coordinates the annual “Salute to Israel” walk each year. The “Celebrate Israel Festival” is sponsored by the Israeli-American Council and Debbie and Naty Saidoff and drew more than 15,000 attendees.
StandWithUS CEO Roz Rothstein said, “We are honored to participate in this exciting day, which helps instill a love for Israel and creates joyous memories for participants of all ages and denominations.”
