The Flight Path Museum and Learning Center at Los Angeles International Airport will host its annual gala fundraiser tonight, celebrating 70 years of commercial airline service at the airport and the 100th anniversary of the Boeing Co.
The Gala XXI will feature a presentation by Deborah Flint, CEO of Los Angeles World Airports, and narrated bus tours of historic sites at LAX and ongoing improvement projects. Seymour Kahn, former CEO of Mercury Air Group, will be added to the museum’s Aviation Walk of Fame.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the museum’s aviation-education and scholarship programs.
Also highlighted during the evening will be several museum exhibits, including model aircraft from the five original airlines at LAX — American, Pan Am, TWA, Western and United.
