The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the eighth consecutive day, increasing eight-tenths of a cent to $2.704.
The average price has risen 7 cents over the past eight days, including eight-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The increases follow a 42-day streak of decreases that dropped the average price to its lowest amount since March 10.
The average price is 6.6 cents higher than one week ago but 14.4 cents less than one month ago and 99.2 cents lower than one year ago
The Orange County average price rose today for the ninth time in 10 days, increasing a half-cent to $2.686. It has risen 8.6 cents over the past 10 days, including a half-cent on both Monday and Tuesday.
The Orange County average price is 7.2 cents higher than one week ago, but 14.3 cents less than one month ago and 95.5 cents lower than one year ago.
The increases in Orange County follow a 39-day streak of decreases that dropped the average price to its lowest amount since March 10.
