LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A fireworks show accompanied by car-themed songs will follow tonight’s Los Angeles Dodgers-San Diego Padres game at Dodger Stadium.
The musical selections will include The Beach Boys’ “Little Deuce Coupe”; the Beatles’ “‘Drive My Car”; Queen’s “I’m In Love With My Car”; The Clash’s “Brand New Cadillac”; Bruce Springsteen’s “Pink Cadillac”; and War’s “Low Rider.”
Fans will be invited onto the field to watch the show, which will take place before 11 p.m. and is subject to cancellation if the game lasts too long.
Actor Chance Crawford will throw the ceremonial first pitch, one week before the release of his latest film, “Undrafted.”
The Military Hero of the Game will be former U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Sergio Platas of Los Angeles who served three tours of duty in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.
DJ Adam will provide musical entertainment in the right field plaza and a face painter and balloon artist will be in the left field plaza, both from 5- 7 p.m.
Auto gates will open at 4:40 p.m. and stadium gates at 5:10 p.m. The Dodgers will take batting practice from 4:20-5:20 p.m. and the Padres from 5:25- 6:20 p.m. Pregame ceremonies, including the national anthem and ceremonial first pitch, will begin at 6:57 p.m., with the game set to start at 7:10 p.m.
