The administration building at Los Angeles International Airport was evacuated this morning after a package deemed suspicious was received in the mail, officials said.
A bomb squad was sent to the airport about 8:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Airport officials said flights were not affected, but traffic delays were developing around the facility.
Also, because of the investigation, short-term parking structures 1 and 7 were closed, and travelers were urged to use parking structures 2 and 6, airport police reported.
