Police today sought the public’s help in locating a 44-year-old man from Albania who participated in the Special Olympics World Games and who went missing Saturday from the USC campus.
Andi Gusmari — who speaks no English, but will respond to his first name — last was seen about 8:30 p.m. Saturday on the USC campus, Los Angeles police officer Jack Richter said.
Richter said the athlete, who participated in the bowling competition, was being categorized as a critical missing because he has medical issues.
Gusmari, who has a speech impediment, was described as a 5 foot 6 inch, 190-pound white male with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red polo shirt that says “Albania’ on the back of it and black pants.
Anyone with any information regarding Gusmari’s whereabouts was asked to call the Special Olympics Command Post at (323) 441-1180.
