Authorities today continued their efforts to find two children who went missing near a school in Venice on Saturday.
Ashley Montes, 12, and Timothy Jacob Reed, 14, were last seen together around 4 p.m. Saturday near Mark Twain Middle School, said Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department. Montes and Reed are friends, Lopez said.
Both of their families have been working with police in the investigation.
Montes is a Latina with black hair and brown eyes. She is 4 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 80 pounds.
Reed is a Latino Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.
