A drop of one-tenth of a cent today extended the streak of decreases to the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County to 48 days.
The average price has dropped 32.7 cents during the streak to $3.852, its lowest amount since Feb. 22, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 2.6 cents less than one week ago and 18.6 cents lower than one month ago but eight-tenths of a cent more than one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped for the 47th time in 48 days, decreasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.818, its lowest amount since Feb. 20.
