Wallace E. Hull of Hidden Hills enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps, the predecessor of the Air Force, in 1943 and rose to the rank of second lieutenant. On one mission, his plane, “Get ‘Em Yank,” sustained 33 holes from enemy fire.
Following the war, Hull flew relief missions, dropping food to victims of the war and flying prisoners of war back to their home countries. Hull’s accolades include an Air Medal with three clusters.
