Authorities released on May 28 the name of a 21-year-old pedestrian who was killed on a street corner in the Pico-Robertson area when a car turned in front of another vehicle, causing it to spin out and hit him.
William Burton of Los Angeles was struck about 7:15 p.m. on May 25 at La Cienega and Pico boulevards and died at the scene, according to Coroner’s assistant chief Ed Winter.
A vehicle heading northbound on La Cienega turned in front of a car that was southbound, causing it to spin out and hit Burton, said Sgt. Stephanie Krajchir of the Los Angeles Police Dept. (LAPD) West Traffic Division.
