Culver City police said today they’re investigating two reports of attempted child abduction.
On April 29 at 7:15 p.m., a 16-year-old girl was walking in the area of Overland and Virginia avenues when a white or Hispanic man with short brown hair and facial hair driving a green four-door vehicle pulled up alongside her, according to Culver City police.
The man, who had short brown hair and facial hair and was driving a green, four-door vehicle, told the girl to “get in the car” two times and continued to follow her as she walked away. The teen then ran back to her school, which is nearby, and called her mother.
On April 28 about 3:15 p.m., the department received an anonymous report that a vehicle pulled up alongside an underage girl at Sepulveda Boulevard and Machado Road, causing her to flee.
Anyone with information was asked to call Detective Ed Baskaron at (310) 253-6319 or the watch commander’s office at (310) 253-6202.
