A movie-going experience with the feel of a lounge or stylish hotel: that is the concept of iPic Theaters, where guests can enjoy watching films with a gourmet meal while sitting on a plush leather seat. This experience is finally arriving in Westwood, as iPic Theaters opens its newest location at the old Avco movie theater on Wilshire Boulevard.
The new movie theater will feature six screening auditorium and 424 seats.
Guests will be able to choose from Premium or Premium Plus seating. The Premium ticket includes large leather seats and the ability to eat food and drink ordered from Tanzy Express inside the auditorium. For Premium Plus patrons, guests will enjoy reclining and oversized leather chairs, popcorn, pillows and blankets, and in-seat service call buttons.
Tanzy Express offers artisanal Italian dining featuring locally sourced fare by chef Sherry Yard. A few concession items will hail from Yard’s Helms Bakery.
There is also a full-service bar at the theater with cocktails presented by award-winning mixologist Adam Seger.
Each auditorium will host between 44 and 108 guests, with films presented in 4K Digital Projection with Dolby 7.1 Channel sound systems.
