Mayor Eric Garcetti heads to Dallas today for an annual gathering of more than 200 mayors from around the country.
Garcetti is scheduled to speak about “city livability” during a Saturday awards ceremony as part of the 82nd annual meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, according to the conference website.
Garcetti’s speech is titled “Back to Basics: Creating a Prosperous, Livable, Safe and Well-Run City.”
He is expected to return to Los Angeles Sunday, mayoral aides said.
The conference wraps up on Monday with the mayors voting on proposed resolutions on a variety of topics.
