“Hercules” actor Kevin Sorbo is being sued by a publicist who alleges she was not paid for helping promote his career in Russia.

Sophia Bardo filed the complaint Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging breach of contract, negligent misrepresentation and fraud. She seeks unspecified damages.

A representative for the 55-year-old Sorbo could not be immediately reached.

According to the lawsuit, Bardo began work in 2009 to promote Sorbo as an actor, entertainer and investor. Last year, the two agreed to have Bardo, who is Russian, “promote Sorbo as an actor and to expose him to investors seeking to purchase Sorbo’s scripts or develop television shows and movies starring Sorbo,” the suit states.

Bardo arranged interviews between Sorbo and the Russian media, had ads published concerning the actor, set up appearances for him at clubs and other locations and scheduled events aimed at further publicity for him, the suit states. She spent so much time working on behalf of Sorbo that it became her full-time job, according to the complaint.

“In addition, a documentary film was made in Russia involving Sorbo,” the suit states.

But Sorbo did not pay Bardo for her work and has refused her requests for compensation, the suit states. She would not have worked for him had she known he would not pay her, according to the lawsuit.

Sorbo is best known for the roles of Hercules in “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys,” Capt. Dylan Hunt in “Andromeda” and Kull in “Kull the Conqueror.”
