A day after the Getty fire started, a second brush fire broke out Saturday, 9/15/12, about 12:30pm. Its location was in Rustic and Sullivan Canyon; the latter is adjacent to the west border of Brentwood Hills. The flames quickly spread, but were confined to approximately 7 acres due to the rapid response of LAFD.
The first photo showing the fire was taken from Bayliss Rd. in Brentwood Hills. A closer view of the burnt area off of Queensferry caught a tanker dropping its load of water. Tankers and helicopters worked together to stop the fire.
