The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped one-tenth of a cent today to $2.725 after rising five of the past six days.
The average price is 1.8 cents higher than one week ago but 2.7 cents less than one month ago and 82.7 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
None of the daily increases over the past week was larger than a half-cent.
The Orange County average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $2.704 after rising 15 of the previous 16 days. It is 1.5 cents higher than one week ago, but 3 cents less than one month ago and 77.4 cents lower than one year ago.
