A woman was hospitalized this morning after being seriously injured when her car overturned on the San Diego (405) Freeway near Century Boulevard and she was ejected onto the ground, authorities reported.
The crash took place at 2:45 a.m. on the southbound 405 Freeway, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Tony Polizzi.
The woman’s vehicle hit a guard rail then slammed into a tree on the right side of the freeway where she was ejected, Polizzi said.
No other vehicles were involved. There were no other injuries, he said.
County fire paramedics took the woman to a hospital for treatment, county fire Dispatch Supervisor Miguel Ornelas said. Her current condition was not known.
The accident remains under investigation by the CHP.
