A vehicle hit a fire hydrant on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu Sunday evening, shearing the fireplug and sending one person to a hospital, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 8:01 on eastbound PCH at Decker Road, said a county fire dispatcher.
The watery wreck closed eastbound lanes of PCH, according to Malibu Emergency Services.
