Ann Helpern ran the retail division of Joan and David for 15 years before branching out on her own and bringing Brentwood’s most treasured footwear destination to life in 2002. She worked extensively with the designers in Italy’s Tuscany region shoe factories and built collections that were sold in Joan and David shops around the world.Habit Footwear + Accessories carries a carefully curated collection of footwear, handbags, jewelry and cashmere. The assortments reflect high quality, elegance and understatement. Says Ann, “My customer wants to be ‘right,’ not ‘first,’ when it comes to fashion. She’s not looking to push the envelope in over-the-top, unwearable shoes. She’s tasteful, elegant, not fussy, and wants to be in style.”
