A South Los Angeles businessman whose annual Thanksgiving turkey giveaway helped thousands of families has died, it was reported Wednesday.
Ellsworth Jackson, best known as E.J., died Tuesday evening after suffering what appeared to be a heart attack in his office, his family told CBS2.
Jackson, who owned Jackson Limousine Service, became well-known as the chauffeur to the stars.
For more than 30 years, Jackson and his E.J. Jackson Foundation collected and donated thousands of baskets of complete turkey dinners to the South Los Angeles community.
