COMPTON (CNS) – A man who was fatally shot while he sat in his car in Compton was identified today.
The shooting occurred about 1:15 p.m. Saturday in the 2700 block of West Lantana Street, said Deputy Ryan Rouzan of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Ladaro Figures, 24, of Compton died at a hospital, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter. “Detectives have learned the victim was parked in front of the location seated in the driver’s seat of his vehicle,” he said. Two male suspects approached the vehicle and opened fire and the suspects ran westbound from the scene.
“The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time,” Rouzan said.
