LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Former Dodgers Kenny Landreaux and Derrel Thomas will sign autographs at the Viva Los Dodgers family friendly festival before today’s game against the San Diego Padres at Dodger Stadium.
Landreaux and Thomas were both members of the Dodgers 1981 World Series championship team.
Spotlight Dance Studio folklorico group and Changui Majadero, a five- piece band performing and preserving the works based on the roots of musical traditions from Guantanamo Cuba with a modern and contemporary touch, will perform at Viva Los Dodgers, which will begin at 11:10 a.m. at Dodger Stadium’s 76 station.
U.S. Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer Elissa Cook of Los Angeles will be honored as the Military Hero of the Game.
Cook is the assistant chief recruiter for Navy Recruiting District Los Angeles. She has also been assigned to the dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall, Naval Air Station Pensacola and Navy Recruiting Districts Buffalo, New England and Denver.
The first 15,000 ticketed children 14 and under in attendance will receive a “Kids Kike Hernandez Fathead” toy.
Children 14 and under can run the bases following the game, entering through center field.
Auto gates will open at 10:40 a.m. and stadium gates at 11:10 a.m. The Padres will take batting practice from 10:40-11:30 a.m. Pregame ceremonies, including the Star Spangled Banner and ceremonial first pitch, will begin at 12:57 p.m., with the first pitch set for 1:10 p.m.
