
Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG) has inked an 11-year, 150,000-square-foot office lease at The Plaza, located at 1840 Century Park East.
IPG will move its 10 marketing, advertising, and public relations firms and their 700 employees from the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood to space at The Plaza in November 2016. This includes PMK•BNC, Weber Shandwick, Rogers & Cowan, Jack Morton, Octagon, FRUKT, Advantage International, The Axis Agency, Dailey, and Campbell Ewald.
As the biggest company occupying the complex’s two Class A, LEED Silver-certfied properties, PMK*BNC will become the anchor tenant, with exclusive signage atop the 1840 Tower. The deal includes building naming rights for PMK•BNC, the largest of the 10 firms, and one of the other companies on two sides of the towers. PMK*BNC’s mix of high-profile talent, film/TV property and brand clients include Matthew McConaughey, Sandra Bullock, Amy Poehler, Shonda Rhimes, Trevor Noah, Tim McGraw, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Audi, Samsung Mobile and Activision, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
IPG will be the largest tenant in The Plaza towers, occupying eight full floors as well as ground floor space. They will also gain the advantage of exclusive signage rights atop the 1840 Tower. The Plaza comprises two Class A office buildings located at 1800 and 1840 Century Park East.
