Corinne Foxx, the daughter of Golden Globe-winning actor Jamie Foxx, was named Tuesday night to serve as Miss Golden Globe at the Jan. 10 awards ceremony.
Corinne Foxx is a senior at USC.
Miss Golden Globe is traditionally a daughter of a well-known celebrity who assists in the ceremony. Previous Miss Golden Globes include Laura Dern, a daughter of Diane Ladd and Bruce Dern, Joely Fisher, a daughter of Connie Stevens and Eddie Fisher, and Melanie Griffith, a daughter of Tippi Hedren.
The announcement was made at Ysabel West Hollywood.
Jamie Foxx won the Golden Globe for best performance by an actor in a comedy or musical motion picture in 2005 for his portrayal of singer Ray Charles in “Ray,” a role that also brought him a best actor Oscar.
Foxx received two other Golden Globe nominations for awards presented in the 2005 ceremony — best performance by an actor in a motion picture for “Collateral” and best performance by an actor in a miniseries or motion picture made for television for “Redemption: The Stan Tookie Williams Story.”
