Los Angeles County Fire Department lifeguards rescued two people who reportedly jumped from a 32-foot sailboat that ran aground near the Venice Pier tonight.
The incident was reported at 6:01 p.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Ed Pickett told City News Service.
Lifeguards reported on Twitter about an hour later that they had brought the two uninjured passengers to shore, and Baywatch Rescue Boats were there to tow the beached boat back out to sea.
