As part of a national initiative spearheaded by the NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations, Clear the Shelters connects Southern Californians with local animal shelters to find new homes for homeless pets. On Sat., August 15, the adoption fee for all dogs and cats at adoption centers throughout Southern California will be reduced to $20 and open their doors from 10 am to 6 pm.
With nearly 50 animal shelters in more than 400 participating cities and regions around Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties, Clear the Shelters is marked to be a first-of-its-kind pet adoption initiative.
